Fuck, fuck. FUUUUUCCCKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!
In a world where demand is infinite, and resources are finite, how can we live? At what point are we willing to discard our humanity for life.
And what kind of ending will our stories have when we do?
Fuck. This was heavy for 16 minute short film.
Also I loved the silence of it, as it allows the message to be sent through all languages and watching this on my phone at work is hard to hear things.

Review by Jay D 's Watching ★★★
A short apocalyptic parable from Quebecois director Annick Blanc that FEELS like the end of the world--a man in a scuba suit who's been fishing returns to the surface (with fish) only to find out that something's gone wrong with the oxygen--he can't breathe anymore and neither could anybody else--wandering, he finds a woman on a respirator who seems to be the only one alive apart from him, and the bulk of the short addresses a) their search for other survivors b) the tension between their desire for companionship and their dual need for oxygen --- if the ending isn't entirely satisfying, it isn't entirely unsatisfying, either, which is, of course, the thing about watching the world end on screen.

No dialogue but it spoke volumes.
Even when it is the end of the world, we will have to choose between love or war. -
Review by James Grimmer ★★★★
Silence pierced by sounds of breathing, stillness accentuated by body language, a bond put to the test by the desire to live—this is a journey in which the outcome is unquestionably uncertain.

A melodic love story in a apocalyptic time yet has one of the most honest depictions of a sacrificial choice depicted on film

When you're really lonely in the apocalypse so you share the last of your supplies. Sad but romantic in some parts.
